Merry Oh so Merry!

The Holiday Season has started...Thanksgiving came and went and now between online shopping, Art Basel, Holiday Parties and kids' events I decided to post before another year goes by! We are super into architectural lighting, brass & BLACK! Sophisticated yet practical and modern will make your spaces GORG this coming year. This lamp is designed by the famous Parisian Serge Mouille in the 1950's. He is known for his minimalistic designs which are discrete yet highly functional always in black painted metal.

 I Love the simple chic clean lines in this living room (below), the retro feel of the chairs, the architectural feature of the fire place and the pop art. They styled it with three layered rugs in different textures and patterns, simply perfect!

So...it's been a while. The Summer came and went and School started, the Holidays...I don't know how but nine months have passed since my last post. I know that in blogger world that is definitively a DON'T but I write and post for my friends and to showcase gorg furniture. So rules don't really apply to my informal and sporadic blog. I have been so much more involved in the furniture world and I have seen so many gorg and different accessories, rugs, lamps, mirrors, coffee tables, and the list goes on and on, but instead of writing about it I will start posting pictures. Hope you enjoy and if anything peeks your interest give me a holler.  

 This company is amazing it is European, the Netherlands, to be precise so just that tells you a lot about the quality of the product. Their pieces are so well made and detailed you will see them everywhere in the next couple of months. They have a high end retail and commercial division which they furnish the Harrods of the world as well as the most exclusive Boutique Hotels. Mother's Day List

  Mother's Day is coming up and truth is that as Mother's we already received the biggest and best gift...the gift of a life that loves you and hopefully always will. But, as amazing as that is as humans we want to feel thanked and thought of at least four or five days a year. 
  The best way to say thanks and I Love You is with a little something. This little list will tell DAD some of the things we might want for this rewarding day. Just forward it to him and make things easier, better just the way you do everything else. Happy Mother's Day!! Hope you get something from your list.

Oh indigo...

Oh how I long to be in a deep blue-indigo-sea swimming a la Monroe! But I will settle for that Celine Mini Luggage and a room in my house touched by indigo...hahaha. Indigo was introduced by Isaac Newton as one of the seven colors in his spectrum, therefore counted as one of the traditional colors of the rainbow. But that does not impress me as much as the feelings indigo delivers when used in decorating. A gorg Chippendale Carver Chair, a Love Seat covered in Christopher Farr Breakwater linen fabric or a faux shagreen with a ceramic shell box. And there is so much more I just couldn't cram more pics in this collage! Simply GORG!!!

How gorg is this bathroom, the chevron marbled tiles, the traditional Georgian style windows, the always elegant clawfoot black and white tub, gorgeous since the 19th century juxtaposed with the modern silver face stool. Such light, elegant, chic happy feelings I get when I see this room. It only make me want to remodel my own sooner... The only thing missing is a colorful Andy Warhol or something along those lines. This rug is so gorg, I love it and it is also one of those staples that is so neutral and interesting that it will stay for a looong time in your house. You can move it from the dining room (as shown below in the gorg dining room) to the family room once you are ready for another design over. I have had a great experience with sisal, seagrass and other natural rugs regarding stains, traffic, kids and pets. They clean up really well. We have an assortment of gorg natural woven rugs in different patterns and colors.
